WhatsApp, Meta’s instant messaging service, was observed to be down which caused users to have difficulty accessing the service. This time the down occurred at 14.10 WIB for both private chat and group chat.
The downfall of WhatsApp also occurred in the United States, Canada, Italy, Britain, India, Malaysia, Japan and the Philippines.
Users cannot send text or voice messages, and privately or grub chat. Some users also mention that the notification that is displayed is in the form of a tick.
Down happened not only for the mobile version, but WhatsApp desktop and WhatsApp web also experienced the same thing.
Even though currently WhatsApp is running normally as before, some netizens, especially on Twitter, have made memes which of course are hilarious and make their stomachs churn. Among them,
Meta itself justifies the downfall of WhatsApp. However, Meta does not explain in detail the cause of the WhatsApp error today.
A spokesperson for Meta told Tech Crunch: “We’re aware that some people are currently experiencing issues sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp to everyone as soon as possible.”
