Geeta Phogat was born on 15 December 1988 in Balali, Haryana. His mother’s name is Shobha Kaur and his father’s name is Mahavir Singh Phogat. His sisters are also named Babita Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat and Ritu Phogat.

Geeta completed her early education from her district Bhiwani. After this he completed his college studies from Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak. Seeing his father Mahavir Singh Phogat, people used to start taunting him, “Look, the one who gets daughter to wrestle has come, this is the work of boys, Mahavir! It is not in the control of any girl, girls are there only to enhance the beauty of the house, they are not there to go out of the house and do wrestling.
His villagers used to taunt like this, but remember, the names of those who die of taunts are never written in history, they just remain a part of the crowd. The one who tolerates this taunt and moves forward, then his name gets recorded in history.
Geeta Phogat Career
Geeta Phogat started her career by winning the gold medal. Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in the year 2009. This competition was held in 2009 in Jalandhar from December 19 to December 21. Geeta won the gold medal in this competition.
And after this she won medals one after the other and showed the world that girls are not less than anyone in any matter. Geet took training from his second coach OP Yadav at Patiala’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose National Institute of Sports.
